Week 24: Reinforcing Your Healthy Work-Life Balance

Yes, we are going to talk about balance again! I hope you’re excited. I admit that I sometimes dread this topic because of self-guilt. Sometimes I just work too much and then try to avoid this entire topic – but I know that’s really not a sustainable way to live. It leads to burn out and quitting well before you’ve reached any of your goals. I find that giving myself grace and focusing on progress over perfection helps me not get discouraged. If you feel shame or guilt for overworking, know that you are not alone. One of the many reasons that setting boundaries is so important is to protect your time and to help you live a more balanced lifestyle. The best employee I can be is a well-rested one who takes time away from work. This helps with creativity and leads to better performance.
