When I was starting out, I knew I needed to learn iOS to get ahead and stand out. At the time, iOS courses weren’t available near me, but the Apple ecosystem was huge. It was clear to me that iOS was a “front of the line” skill – one of those rare and special skills that was going to rocket me to the front of any hiring line. After iOS, I added security as a new skill set because I saw a real need in the marketplace for security professionals. Today, in a market where no one is hiring, companies are still fighting over people with security experience.
